It happened again — and this time, the pudding wasn’t just sweet… it was suspiciously lumpy.
The Peach Tree dining hall was dressed to the nines for our Holiday Bazaar: glittering pine garlands, nutcracker centerpieces, and the smell of cinnamon rolls dancing through the air. Residents and guests were gathered around tables stacked high with baked goods and hand-knit scarves when suddenly, a puzzled voice rang out:
“Why does this pudding have a handle?”
Turns out, Mrs. Thompson’s glasses had gone rogue — again — and found their way straight into the dessert bowl, right between the candied oranges and brandy sauce. And wouldn’t you know it? Peeking just over the edge of the tablecloth, near a suspiciously empty spoon, was that giggling little rascal — the Peach Tree Elf — eyes twinkling, hands full of marshmallows, clearly up to no good.
Mrs. Thompson, ever the sport, chuckled and wiped off her glasses with a napkin. “At least now I can say I see dessert more clearly,” she winked. The whole room roared with laughter.
