Every Wednesday afternoon, the community room is transformed into a haven of wagging tails and happy purrs as therapy animals visit the residents. Betty, the enthusiastic coordinator, introduces the visitors with a big smile. “Everyone, meet our furry friends for today’s session!” she announces, as the room fills with excited murmurs.
Mildred, who has always had a soft spot for cats, eagerly reaches out to pet a gentle tabby named Whiskers. “You remind me of my old cat, Mittens,” she says, stroking Whiskers’ soft fur.
