At 2:00 PM, the Young Writers Adventure Ceremony will honor participants with special recognitions voted on by Peach Tree residents. It’s a beautiful moment of encouragement that brings generations together.

- Open to kids from Kindergarten–9th grade
- Centered around the theme “Then vs. Now”
- Includes art, handwritten stories, and optional Spanish or bilingual entries
- Entries are judged with care by community members, including local seniors
- All participants receive a Pages & Petals goodie bag and a free gift to give to their mom or mother figure

🌸📚 PAGES & PETALS – YOUTH WRITING ADVENTURE & MOTHER’S DAY GATHERING
As part of the broader Pages & Petals experience in the Yakima Valley, families are encouraged to participate in the Pages & Petals – Youth Writing Adventure, an intergenerational storytelling experience open to children in Kindergarten through 9th grade across Central Washington, including communities from Ellensburg to Sunnyside and surrounding areas.
Children attending Yakima Public Schools, faith-based schools, and homeschool programs are all encouraged to participate. This Adventure invites young writers to explore the theme “Then vs. Now” through handwritten stories shared with local senior citizens—creating meaningful connections across generations.
✨ Don’t forget to get your K–9 student signed up to participate in the Pages & Petals – Youth Writing Adventure.
Every child who participates is celebrated. Each young writer receives:
- A Pages & Petals goodie bag
