It happened again — right in the middle of the Peach Tree dining room. Mr. Jenson was squinting at the cookie cart, asking if the lemon bars were made with raisins this year (they were not). Residents leaned in, trying to help. Staff checked under his napkin, between the puzzle pages, and beneath the poinsettias. No luck. His glasses had vanished.
And then… a gentle laugh bubbled up from across the table. Mrs. Eileen pointed upward with a twinkle in her eye. “Mr. Jenson,” she said, “they’re on your head again.”
Sure enough, the mystery spectacles were perched proudly on his white hair like a festive crown. Just above them, hiding among the hanging garland, was the real culprit: the Peach Tree Elf, giggling from his nest of glitter and pinecones.
